It’s All About Change

With his injured and dented sculptures Marcus de Bruijn (1978) explores his ideas about ‘being’ in the 21st century. In his art he experiments with a great variety of mostly reused materials. It is no problem if damage, loss or imperfection can be seen as it is part of being and proof of the transformation one has made. Outside Marcus adds his work to public space or nature which leads to a new pop-up environment. He observes the environment responding to the newly introduced elements and vice versa fhe influence of these new surroundings on the behaviour of the objects. What consequences are there to be seen? What has changed? You are invited to observe with him. It’s all about change.
